SDHL MANIFESTO
This document serves as the Super Dynasty Hockey League (SDHL) manifesto. All components have been acknowledged and agreed upon by its 12 current members. Any changes to the Manifesto need to be submitted to the entire league either through the Forum or the Fantrax Forum (Or whichever website we use for competition) and voted on. A majority vote will be needed to incorporate any change.
LEAGUE TYPE:
The SDHL is a Head-to-Head weekly dynasty league pitting one team against another with the winner being determined by having the most points accumulated by their starting lineup.
DRAFT:
For our September drafts, the draft order will be determined as follows;
The four non-playoff teams will pick 1 through 4, as determined by a random online lottery drawing. The Playoff winner and also-ran will pick 12th and 11th, respectively. The remaining 6 teams will be positioned in order of regular season finish.
Each team will select until their roster is at the 30-player maximum with 5 of those having rookie/prospect status.
Rookie/prospect status for skaters (F & D) is determined by having played in 100 or less regular season NHL games & goalies will have a 50-game threshold. Any amount over those thresholds will be considered NHL Pro.
All conditions above are regardless of age, years played or any other extemporaneous factors.
***Starting with the 2019-2020 season, the snake draft will be replaced with a straight round draft.
WEEKLY LINEUPS:
Starting lineups of 17 players are constructed as follows;
2 RW
2 C
2 LW
4 F
5 D
2 G
The remaining players will comprise the bench and points will not be considered for that week's matchup.
Weekly lineup changes must be made before the start of the first game of the week. Holidays that fall on a Monday may constitute an earlier start than the normal 7:00 pm.
Rosters cannot go over the 33-player maximum limit.
KEEPER ELIGIBILITY:
Rookie/prospect status for skaters (F & D) is determined by having played in 100 or less regular season NHL games & goalies will have 50-game threshold. Any amount over those thresholds will be considered NHL Pro.
All conditions above are regardless of age, years played or any other extemporaneous factors.
Each team will need to submit their Keeper list before the start of the September drafts. Teams that finish in 1st and 2nd place during the regular season can keep up to 12 NHL Pro level players, or a combination of NHL Pro level and Prospect level players, plus up to 5 Prospect level players as indicated above. The remaining 10 teams may keep up to 13 NHL Pro level players, or a combination of NHL Pro level and Prospect level players, plus up to 5 Prospect level players as indicated above.
There is no position requirement for keepers.
Once the keeper submission is complete, there are no roster restrictions until the draft. For example, if one team trades for a player by trading a draft pick, the team acquiring the player does not have to drop another to comply with the keeper requirement, nor does the team trading away the player need to add a player to their keeper list.
***Starting with the 2019-2020 season, the snake draft will be replaced with a straight round draft.
THE MARIO RULE:
Due to unforeseen circumstance that may arise during the season, the Commissioner reserves the right to rule on these events should they be detrimental to the fairness of play amongst the league’s constituents.

Re: SDHL MANIFESTO
Questions...
82 100? Is it 82 and less or 100 and less?
KEEPER ELIGIBILITY:
Rookie/prospect status for skaters (F & D) is determined by having played in 82 100 or less regular season NHL games & goalies will have a 41 50-game threshold.
How many can the other teams keep?
Each team will need to submit their Keeper list before the start of the September drafts. Teams that finish in first and second place will be able to keep up to 12 NHL Pro level players, or a combination of NHL Pro level and Prospect level players, plus up to 5 Prospect level players as indicated above. There is no position requirement for keepers.
